Your life story: it belongs to you
This is an opportunity to document and understand your life history, experiences both positive and negative. This is a process through your time in OOHC, and can be supported by adults in your life, such as a family member, carer, and caseworker. Your carer can help you to collect things like photos, awards and certificates, or reports from school to put in your book. Your caseworker will want to make sure that information about you growing up is kept. By engaging in life story work you can be supported to understand important information in your life in a creative and active way, document memories and feelings, and build your sense of identity and belonging. It belongs to you, you can have the original copy and all its contents.
